Come and give angling a Go!

Please note that due to the very hot weather we are experiencing this week, we have made the decision to POSTPONE the Give Angling a Go! day until October when conditions should be cooler and more suitable for successful fishing.

This is a great opportunity for budding anglers of all ages to gain an introduction to float fishing from highly patient and experienced instructors. You will learn how to bait your hook, how to cast, how to strike at a biting fish and how to land your fish. You can expect to catch roach, perch and maybe even a big tench or carp!
The event is totally free and all tackle and bait will be provided. Sessions last 40 minutes and will be held on the north bank of the Model Boating pond running from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
Please note that participants will need to sign in before fishing. Under 14s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. A licensed angling coach is running this event.
There will be some capacity to teach people who turn up on the day, but places are limited so it is advisable to book in advance by emailing Matt at pierce_matthew@yahoo.com. Thank you!
