Fishing Club Says “Give Angling A Go” at FREE Event
Hampstead and Highgate Angling Society (HAHAS) will be offering free angling tuition at the Model Boating Pond, Millfield Lane, Highgate, N6 6JB on Sunday 09-Oct-2022 from 10am to 4pm.
Open to novices of any age, the Give Angling A Go day will offer each participant a 40 minute introductory session when they can learn to bait their hook, cast their line and maybe even catch a fish! Experienced anglers will teach them all about it and what to do if they would like to go again.
Angling coach Matt Pierce says “Fishing is a highly absorbing pastime that brings you into direct contact with nature. This event is a great opportunity for anyone who is interested but doesn’t know where to start”.
Participants will need to sign in before fishing. Under 14s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. A licensed angling coach is running this event.
There will be some capacity to teach people who turn up on the day, but as places are limited it is strongly advised to book in advance by emailing Matt at pierce_matthew@yahoo.com.
HAHAS formed in 2017 to improve access for anglers on Hampstead Heath, promote good angling practice and bring more people into the sport.
